Freskoball is an action game with constant and fast movements, where it requires precision when attacking and attention when defending.

FRESKOBALL emerged in the 1940s, in Rio de Janeiro – Brazil, just after World War II (1945-46).
The Main Objective:  To make game sequences always keeping the ball in the air as long as possible. In a FRESKOBALL game both win and no one loses, because in the other side there is no opponent but a Partner.
The more sequence you can do with a Partner, the more adrenaline and endorphins each player releases, thus generating a state of pleasure and satisfaction that accompanies the “Heartbeat.” At the end everyone gets memorable moments of the game.

TIPS FOR YOUR GAME

For you to Improve your Game
The way to hold the racket is very important. You have to hold it tight and keep the wrist and arm as one set and hit the ball with the center of the racket since this part will provide you the best answer.
The Grip you hold the Racket is very important and directly influences the outcome of your game.
Try to hold firmly at the end of your Racket’s handle, it should be slightly tilted up, well-placed in your hand and all fingers holding the handle distributing grip strength.
The “hit ” in the ball should be flat, always trying to make the ball reach the center of the racket.
Recommendation: Avoid holding with your index finger pointing toward the middle of the racket. This is mistake is very common amongst beginners and may result in tendonitis in the extensor muscles of your arm.

POSITIONING

The Game Position is facing the Partner approximately 13-18 feet away.
The movement in the beat
The feet: they should be apart and are the basis of the game. They should be free in the floor, make small jumps to position yourself. Flex your legs when hitting the ball back. On your right side the support leg is on the left and vice versa. And you direct the left hand and with the spin you hit the ball the moment you have contact with the center of the racket.
It’s all about timing! These movements will become intuitive and constant with the beat. It makes you spin the torso and use your full body, working feet, legs, torso, and arms…

THE ANALYSIS OF THE GAME

It is very important to read your partner’s game. That is, try to see and understand how your partner is playing, where it will the best place to hit the ball back… Some prefer to answer with a strong hit at the top right, others in the center of the body, others on the left. You can mix and match this during the game, and according to your partner’s level.
